Baby Steps

I had a massive boost yesterday when I hopped onto the scales with some trepidation, only to find that I haven't gained any weight in the last week.

PHEW!

I have no idea how or why, but I'm taking it!

Wednesday saw me have lunch out with a friend I've not seen in ages and ages.  What to have..........  When I saw this mixed bean salad topped with feta cheese and fresh mint I thought I'd give it a go.


It was Luverly!  I really need to have a go at making more stuff like this.........

Dinner was more rushed as Mr DF & I had an appointment out to view our wedding photos (more on that another time!) so it was something out of the freezer....... sausage and oven chips.

Not the best I know, but better than a takeaway.

Yesterday was hit and miss as well as I ended up going to town to pick up my re-sized wedding ring and then popped to our local Outlet Village before heading to my local shopping centre for a 'few bits'.  I was out for hours and missed lunch altogether.

Had baked chicken breast with a jacket potato and baked beans for dinner with an Asda Cornetto type cone for pudding.  Again, not the best........ but I love em :p

I am feeling much more positive now and, following a second visit to a sports massager who uncovered some startling results on my first visit (again, I will do a separate post on this as I think it's worthy of individual attention) I have resolved to give up bread for a month to see what, if any, effect it has on my tummy issues.

Back to work today for my first of a set of late shifts - the first in around 6 weeks.  Gonna be hard.......
